Adult Sewing Classes

Adults learn to sew for fun! Many of our students want to make the crafts they see online. Others want to make pillows, window treatments and accessories for their home. Moms-to-be love coming to Sew Creative to make their baby nurseries and gifts. Many students come to develop a new hobby. After all, sewing is one thing you can do at the end of a long day at work to wind down, relax and create! And, we have many students who are starting new business ventures. Whatever your reason, you'll learn the basics to achieve your goal in a relaxed setting by a teacher who is patient and understanding.

The Beginner Sewing Course is a 6-week program offered several times a year. There are studio machines available for class use. The course is both theory and project based. You'll learn how to use and troubleshoot a sewing machine, fun things to do with a sewing machine, fabric anatomy, the tools we use to make sewing efficient and fun as well as how to read and navigate your way through a commercial pattern. You'll also make 3 projects. The goal of the course is to give every beginner or refresher student the information she/he needs to sew on her/his own.
